I have only done a little checking. Does anyone know what shape pot we should be using? I have seen all sorts of tea cups also. I know they didn't have the sugar cube, but would fine sugar be the right thing?:?

Oooh, I better do more research as I'd like to hold teas regularly...

I do believe tea pots came in many shapes, china and silver. Their is a difference between a "tea pot" "short and stout" and a "coffee pot" came into use a little later in the era. Coffee pots are also usually taller and narrower.

Also tea was sold in "blocks".

I forget about sugar, except I do take it in my tea.

I do know: warm the pot first, do not " hard boil" the water, and milk not cream in your cup before the tea.

Gotta go read up on that sugar...

I have had block tea and can tell you without any reservations that it is the most disgusting stuff I have ever tasted. Maybe we should find some loose tea to use.

PS. I'll try to bring some to Modesto
