My name is Paul McCrone, and I live in Marina CA. I just moved here from Omaha Nebraska, where I have been a member of the 1st Nebraska Vols. Company "A" since 2004. I have all my basic gear. I am NOT a farb, but I'm not a hard core either, although I take authenticity seriously. I am interested in joining a group here in California (obviously as close to Marina as possible so I could come to meetings sometimes. My wife & I have a 1 year old, so I cannot come all the time). I am a Union man - I am related (through my Dad's first cousin) to Capt. Patrick Delacy of the 143rd Penn. Vols (of the Bucktail Brigade, if you have heard of it), who won the Congress. Medal of Honor at the Battle of the Wilderness in 1864. I have done double duty as a Reb on a fill in basis though also. I play the fiddle too (and my wife says I'm getting better all the time ;-) ).
